martin luther king " the other america"

based on the speech that i read and my prior knowledge of dr. king he was a great speaker. he spoke with power, meaning, and fluidity. dr. king spoke with a cause. his speech "the other america" was about the seperation between not only the blacks and whites, but all the minorities and whites in america. it was evident that king felt not only for the negro race in his era, but for all those who faced discrimination. the speech spoke about segregation blacks faced throughout the south. what he was saying was 100% true. things like bathrooms, movie theaters, and other public facilities were segregated to make the black man feel insignificant. through his speech he opened the eyes of many to the horrors of what black people had to go through. martin luther king was an inspirational speaker to the public, a leader to the black people, and an inspiration to the world.
